TopRatedSoftware publishes software reviews that show their work: how each one was produced, when its prices were last checked, and which sources back each claim, so you can decide how far to trust it.
How reviews are made
Every review carries a label saying how it was produced. Most of our current reviews are expert researched: built from vendor documentation, published audits and lab results, release notes, and pricing pages, with each source linked. We only use the tested label when we have run the product ourselves, and we never present someone else's benchmark as our own.

How we make money
Some links earn us a commission when you buy, at no extra cost to you. The affiliate disclosure explains how that works, and the sponsored content policy sets out how any paid content would be labelled.
Independence
The people who write and score our reviews also run the business side; there is no separate sales team to keep them apart. Independence here rests on rules rather than an org chart:
- No vendor can pay to be listed, ranked higher, or reviewed more favourably.
- Commissions never feed into scores, verdicts, or the order of any list.
- We publish negative findings about products we earn commission on.
- Material errors are corrected and logged publicly, never silently edited.
